Isao Tomita "The sea named Solaris"Well, it got me thinking about the diversity of life. I began to imagine if I were an alien species, the animals, plants, fungus, and all manners of living creatures would be astounding. Had you no knowledge or disensitivity to the point of it all seeming mundane; the Earth would be incredibly strange.
It got me thinking about not just animals from the past but even the strangeness of what we consider mundane today; and for a brief moment, I experienced a sense of wonder and curiosity about life I hadn't felt since I was a child. For a split second, the world seemed more alien than any fictional piece of work I could think of at the time.
I don't know what's going on with my brain. I dont know why plants have been fascinating me; and now other forms of life. Perhaps it is time to look to the stars once more, and devote more time to education.
Anyway. Just some thoughts. Night.
