It's ever so tedious.
You have to coordinate everyone, wait around for them all to gather, troubleshoot 'til everyone's set, deal with connection troubles, inevitably have one or two miss because of some other business, and ultimately, even when you do play, it's an irritation not to be able to pause and get up when you please to do something else or to take a break.

Multiplayer is certainly fun. But I really struggle with playing more than an hour or two, and even then, I only ever do 'pickup games' within a server of semi-friends. Too much trouble otherwise.
