I've kind of got nowhere. Alas, my interests are fine tuned, and not particularly relevant, nor even welcome, in most places.

Also I suspect it was some kind of backend vulnerability that was/is being exploited.
The sites www.* subdomain is perfectly fine so you can access the front page but the boards.* subdomain is being lagged into oblivion. But then the question is if it's a DDoS why is cloudflare failing to prevent it? So we're looking at cloudflare being broken too then.
These blast points are much too accurate for soypeople. Sharty is clearly taking credit for something they aren't doing alone.

Yeah, it's shit everyone knew for decades, but it's still irritating to see. Rules never mattered, mods just mostly ran however they pleased, and bans were essentially random.

It was someone who knew what they were doing. They also leaked the source code, the files for which would not be exposed to someone coming from the outside. I'd say it's only a matter of time until open source devs package it so that people can start their own 1:1 4chan clone but it looks like more of a headache to work with than something like vichan. The open source clones are unironically superior in every way.

The forward-facing image that "we" get to see on our node was likely replace by one "running" on "freebsd from 10 years ago (5.1?)", to allow plausibility for 4chan going down.

The truth is that when they allowed non-silo'd threads like the election thread: you got 500 pages, and 100,000 (100k) messages in that thread in a day.

While every other thread has only a few people.
Is that plausible?
This is likely to seed in our minds the idea that 4chan can go down at times. So that when it needs to go down when Iran is hit by 80-300kt nuclear "bunker busters"*; which is the only thing that can crack some formulations of polymer-inducted low to no-slump concrete: the pressure wave of even the best binary chemical reaction not being sharp enough to cause a crack; such as what was tested in Bashar Al Assad (the Blue eye'd boy) Syria in Tartus in december; 4chan can "go down" "again" without too much fan fare.

1) "fellow" white people seem to hate C today. I don't know why. C doesn't seem any different to me than Perl or QuakeC or PHP. It does take longer to "finish" as you have to compile it on each architecture to make a "proper release", but it feels like Perl.
You can be sloppier in perl though; and it's good to figure out your algorithims in perl or on a calculator before doing a second version in C once you have your thoughts gathered.

2) "fellow" whites always want to kill you for liking girls. They're just all enemies and enemies to eachother. Always eggshells.

However there are negatives:

Most importantly, the OS is kept up to date with all relevant security updates. We aren't running out of date 10-year-old security software.
Aside from that, the site uses a combination of installed security systems as well as custom made scripts to monitor traffic and defend against various types of threats in a very proactive manner. It might actually be too wide of a net! If you are caught by the auto-ban system for something innocuous, feel free to appeal it.
Security will never be 100% effective, but I think it's pretty solid, especially for a small pony site.

Aside from that, there really isn't anything here worth hacking into or leaking. There are no secret mod chats. There are no stored e-mails. And we don't allow illegal content on this site.

And the site makes use of robust backups, so if it does get taken down, it should be back up and running again in short order.
