4chan is not running on a single freebsd box sitting in a closet for 10 years.
The noise of the unlubricated fans alone would drive anyone living with it insane.
I know that myself as it's the main reason I shut down my server decade+ ago.
The amount of traffic 4chan receives and hack attempts would not allow it to run in the way it is being claimed.
Instead it is run off an image.
Multiple instances are ran, each serving a different silo'd population.
People that the powers that be could be useful for each-other; but not conspiratorial minded are put together in each node (ie: programmers are put on a node together; but not ones that would get along).
The goal is divide and conqueor; with the added idea of maybe having like-talent together (but not like-minded) so some enterprises could exist.
Thus I get Rika, and no loli loving C programmers, to converse with.
There used to be alot of loli loving C programmers. Now I can reach none of them.
Doesn't make sense.
Where'd they all go?
Different nodes.
