Setting up a mold master for silicone. Will eventually, hopefully, give the result of the pendant inside.

Hopefully it pans out. My printer's a little nasty. Need to clean it, but... Lazy.

Mold for sandcasting. Not really vital for most my projects, but, it lets me prototype if nothing else, not to mention do some oddities that're just fun.

Later down the line if I run zinc-based pewters, might be handy. Stuff is higher temperature than this silicone can take.

A rug works amazing for VR. Definitely would recommend that.

It's a small feature, but it helps you avoid accidentally shifting. Even if that usually doesn't end up more than a few inches, it does occasionally add up.

My most recent fun little side project is a home-made interactive fiction (IF) game engine. Right now, you can't do anything and there's no game to speak of. It's just an incomplete engine I work on here and there. You can see it at if.ponychan.co
An IF project was my very first programming hobby project, and over the years I've re-created and refined my process as I've revisited the concept. What makes this one unique among my attempts is that it's web-based and persistent. This presents some unique challenges, making it most similar in programmatic structure to my very first attempt in QBASIC. But I've learned quite a bit since that time. So even though I'm precluded from using object-oriented structure due to certain restrictions, I'm creating my own pseudo-objects that can be used in the same way. It's a cool little challenge.

I've got a Phrozen Sonic Mighty 8k.
Gives me a nice sized plate with solid detail. Definitely was worth the buy.

I run it typically with some Sirayatech FAST ABS-like. Gives good strength, albeit at expense of being a tad nastier and a bit slower to print.

Not too much, honestly. I'm still fairly new to the CAD system.
Mostly, I'm working to create some pendants. Before, I did successfully cast these, just straight out of print resin. Though it didn't hold up to the temperature, sadly. So detail was an issue, and eventually, it warped enough to be unusable.

Fingers crossed, that's the plan!

I've just got to put a string on these guys and they'll be set.
I want to design a new one, record that as I go, and use it as the launching point, at least for online sales.
Locally, I'll try to get into the art guild here, which will give access to shows and the like.

I need to make 50 total product if I can by the end of the month, is my goal. This is ten of that.

I'll make two more pendant designs like this, a more complex necklace, and a simple figure, I think.
My mother's requested a fern style one for mother's day, so that'll be the next one.
I think I'll do a rectangular cuneiform style for the third.
A dice bead stack is going to be the more complex one. And I think I'll make a simple plane for the figure.
Could also be a simple knight. Don't want it to be complex, though.

Spend the last two days moving furniture and personal belongings into my new house. I was tempted to spend the day drinking and eating weed gummies, but decided to give my future garden a few minutes of time... (I actually had the thought that if I don't get started a little that it would never get done)

I ended up mowing the entire lawn, picking weeds out of the grass and railroad tie planters. Then I took the pulled weeds and threw them into the compost pile. (It's just the biggest plotted off rectangle made with railroad ties in the ground.) After that I watered the grass and swept off the porch.

Not bad..

Pic related. These are some of the plants I'm gonna be seeding later. I also have a bag of freshly picked black cherries from a tree I picked out in the forest. I'm planting them as well.

Filled it with some playsand stuff that works great and is way easier to work with than the typical red clay, pressed an existing model I got from an arcade ages ago into it, put the two pieces of the mold together, and made a duplicate.

'Cause I had some needles, but I find the stanard lot inconvenient given you can't really keep thread with them, let alone buttons or spare bits of cloth.

My go-to is usually an austrian surplus kit, but I've misplaced it. So it's time to make a new daily carry one.

>Does the printer handle circular objects very well?

Haven't had trouble with it. I've got a Artillery Sidewinder, and it has been a beast of a thing since I got it. Reliable for pretty much any prints. Circles don't even seem to get a seam on it. Though to be fair, I don't think circles're issues for most printers these days.

It looks a little nicer in person, but yeah, very useful.
Used a wire to make it so the hole can stay wide and open, or closed, as one needs. Making it easy to just throw things in when you run into a nice big blackberry bush.

I need more practice, but sewing is comparatively easy to much I've done already.

Oh and also, last weekend I went to change the oil only to discover my catch basin had a crack in it so I ended up with a sizable puddle of oil in my driveway.

Probably a good idea, they're almost as expensive and cantankerous as women.

On the upside though you can abandon a car out in the woods when they get to be too much trouble to maintain.

Might as well just get a bike. It's better for the environment, good for exercise, and there is a bike lane for a reason. If people ran on muscle power rather than blowing fuel emissions at every chance we had, we would not only cut down on polluting the environment, dumping more money into the pockets of oil companies and in turn corrupt politicians, but we would see a drastic decrease in road collisions and obesity.

Smdh, get it in gear people!

Well, I cut some slices from a log on the property to make a few coasters and sell at my local farmer's market. So I suppose that'll be next.
I've also got another pendant design to make, print, mold, and cast.

And that still felt like highway robbery.

Probably need to do mine again soon. Want to swap the disks while I'm at it.

That's cuz it is. Everything's getting more expensive and crappier quality.

Also the second I stepped outside to try it started raining again. Doesn't matter though cuz I can't find an 18mm socket. Got three 17mm's but no 18.

Autozone you say? They just built one of those here awhile back. Haven't actually been to it yet though as it's a bit out of the way. The site it's on used to be a Pizza Hut back in the 90's. Might have to check it out.

You buy any of their Duralast brakes for your car once at a premium, and you get free replacements for the life of your car. The brakes themselves might not be the best, but assuming you don't mind changing them out as needed, it can save you some money in the long run.

In this case it's not the brakes but the car. My front passenger side caliper has developed a tendency to seize-up just enough to wear down the pads. My attempts to rectify this has thus far proven unsuccessful.
I could replace the caliper, but that's a whole 'nother level of annoying compared to replacing the pads.

So clearly I cursed myself when I said this cuz the caliper is thoroughly seized, my attempts to unseize it were unsuccessful and one of the bolts that holds the caliper on also snapped off.

I did the thing. Of course the first caliper I went and got had the wrong size piston so I had to return it and get the correct one. Other than that the swap wasn't too much of a hassle, didn't even get brake fluid all over everything.

Too many, most unpainted.
Among my painted stuff, probably have give or take a few dozen. I've got at least 15 mechs done up, so it shouldn't be less than 25 total, and more likely to a decent bit higher.
Still, I've got easily twice that sitting unpainted, unfinished, or otherwise unassembled. So I've got a big backlog.
