Is protein enough to get big? I'm working on cardio and endurance muscle training in between strength workouts, but I've never really gotten into the science of it.

Anyone else familiar?

Technically it is but your body type and muscle composition also play a role in how easily you build muscle.

Sign language is so useful. We join our original protagonists in this continuing migraine tale. And then we're going to talk about the squirrels being married. They use greek numerals.<

I gain muscle and lose fat fairly easy. (Unfortunately, that also means that I gain weight relatively fast if I'm not active.) I've already lost like 5 pounds since going. I'm not worried about that. I'm just wondering if the whole keratein thing and various powders are worth the money. I could go on /fit/ or some other fitness board, but those guys are practically brainwashed by memes, youtubers, and all that. I know they work, I guess I'm just wondering as to how dramatic they work compared.

Guess I'll have to do some more research.

Regardless, replacing alcohol with the gym has probably been the best decision I've made in years. Life changer. I'm going again in a few hours here.

Lucky, I am tall and lanky and can't bulk to save my life. On the other hand though I can also gain/lose 20 pounds without showing at all. I personally have little use for creatine or the like but I've known plenty of other people who swear by the stuff so ymmv.

I have the opposite problem. 20 pounds will easily show up on me, however losing 20 pounds can drastically change my appearance.

At this point I've just been craving protein and calcium in an attempt alleviate some of the work out pains the following day or two. I know they're caused by micro tears and rips in the muscle (And a work at the bone a bit) and I just want them to heal faster.

Well best to feed those craving when you get them. Warm compresses help too, increases blow flow and thus aids recovery. I've heard good things about collagen supplements too. Is an important protein for skin and connective tissue.

Woooork'aaaaan out

>35 minutes of bike. Setting 14 out of 20

>50 reps of the Adductor machine. Inner thighs and glutes respectively.
>30 reps of this machine that basically forces you to do pullups while sitting. I did 70lbs
>50 hanging situps
It feels good. All of that was after working an 8 hour shift of moving heavy ass boxes and bags of dog/cat food

I weighed myself today.

I've lost 10 pounds since going to the gym. I feel pretty good about that.
