This thread serves as a running log of what's being actively worked on, announcements regarding site issues related to development, and notifications on completed tasks.

The current task is finalization of the automated backup system.

Backups are currently maintained on 2 additional storage drives (not including the one hosting the site) for redundancy. Several days' worth of backups are currently maintained on each; this may be expanded further on one of the storage drives at a later time.

The immediate task is rewriting diagnostic scripts to more easily test the backup process.

The final task will be a feasibility test and implementation of off-site backups.

some configuration tweaks:
The image hard limit has been dropped from 1000 to 250.
The reply hard limit has been dropped from 1500 to 1000.
The ability to bump threads that are past their reply limit (250) has been disabled.
