Doing alright, and you?

The treasure at the bottom was a trap and I got eaten by giant moles!

I'm playing it again now to get some achievements.

You could sleep some more after a day of streaming!

No, that's the only ending, it's like a story twist. The guy who sold you the plot of lands seems in league with the giant moles.

Like, finding rare ores, jumping into the holes and be in the air for 4 seconds, throw 100 dynamite sticks...

It sounds like Duplex if the movie had giant moles instead of an elderly woman.
Can you throw the dynamite at the giant moles?

How are the houseguests?

I'm not sure I know that movie, maybe I've seen it, but the name doesn't ring a bell.

Unfortunately, no. All you can do is run.

a real estate agent, an old woman, and a cop run a scam selling a duplex to naive people, and then driving them crazy to run them out.
where is there to run in your hole?

Oh no, rought times then.

That sounds like a very strange thing to do - I mean, are they just getting kicks out of that?

You run past the moles to proceed. Then you find the treasure chest, and then you die.

They sell the duplex at market price, then buy it back for pennies when the people are desperate to leave.
What's in the box!
Clearly you have to take out the moles first...
I'm experimenting with my lewd AI while grinding in trekville. but this AI's got me too hot and bothered. so I'm going to take a shower.

Ah, okay, so that's the master plan. Is it a good mvie?

The box is empty! And as you turn around, there is three moles behind you. There's no killing the moles.

Is the AI working for a change?

It's pretty solid! It's a Ben Stiller comedy movie from the early 2000s. and the old woman is the best part.
That sounds like one of your RPGs. It's karma!
It's generally quite a bit better. It still goes off on broken record tangents at times, but I figured out how to solve that issue. Best of all, it's quite a bit more unpredictable in what it presents.

I'm messing around with a 'new' computer I ended up with a little while ago. I'm not sure what I want to do with it yet.

On the left is my desktop. In the middle is the web server. And on the right is the new machine.

It's not as good as my desktop. But for an older machine, it's pretty solid. It's also a full tower with tons of space, unlike any of my other computers.

A couple of options:

I could replace the web server with this new machine. It's almost twice as fast, has 3X the L1 cache, has an L3 cache, has way more RAM and way faster RAM (not shown on image). It also has 6 hard drive slots, which would greatly simplify backups (among other things). In contrast, the web server has 1 hard drive slot, and has a secondary drive sitting loose in the CD drive tray.

or, I could use this new computer as a supplemental network machine. use its many drive slots as a NAS for backups to replace the current system, and use its added power/memory for other custom applications in the future.

So in case the thermalposting hasn't made it too obvious I bought a thermal optic. Specifically an Armasight Sidekick 320. After doing the warranty registration online I received some swag. A woodland camo Snapback cap, a thermal coffee mug, an IR flag and stickers.

Let it be know that I am a sucker for swag.

No one expects that full frontal dwarf. I'll be around next week; just say when.
We raided more as an alliance, in a single day, than we've probably ever raided as a group. Then we started hunting for alliance starbases, and we challenged and attacked the #7 alliance's base despite us being #18 and 1/4 of their power, and even though we lost the fight, we got them to pull back. And all the while we've been running armadas nonstop. It's been a good trekville day.

I have 3 bookcases jutting out from the wall, and on the back side there's another bookcase, a cabinet, and a chest of drawers. They form a false wall, separating the living room into "the living room" and my office. They claim it's a fire hazard, based on literally nothing. And rather than argue with them, I'm going to move 2 of them to break the wall, and then I'll move them back after.

When I re-read my message I thought that too. I guess it wasn't that clear.

I don't think I found it by accident. I didn't like walking around the graveyard cause it had those shitty ghosts that swoop into you constantly. So Error saved my day. Just like the guy in Faxanadu that tells you where to fly!
