HAY: How Are You? Roleplaying Edition (ID: f51abd)Country code: us, country type: geoip, valid: 1  14333[Last 50 Posts]

>The heavy wooden door creaks open, revealing the warm, boisterous interior of the Drunken Flagon. A wave of mingled scents washes over you: roasted meat, spilled ale, and the sweet tang of pipeweed. The room buzzes with activity. To your left, a group of heavily armed mercenaries are huddled in a corner, their voices low and serious. At the bar, a lone figure in a dark cloak nurses a drink, while a pair of boisterous bards compete for the patrons' attention near the hearth. The tavern is alive with possibility.
How will you begin your adventure?

Or just stop by to chat about how you're doing!

He turns and whistles twice toward the back of the establishment, and then he pulls a tankard from under the bar, wiping the inside with a hand towel before filling it with ale. A waiter emerges from the back and brings you a plate of roast pork. The bartender places the foam-topped tankard next to it.
"How are you doing today?" he says.

It was a good day, played lots of Graveyard Keeper first, then Suikoden with my friend. I guess we'll finish it next time we meet in a week.

Not much was going on at work either. How's your day been? Did you have your apartment examination?

>>14366 How's the graveyard coming along? Are you still fomenting revolution or has it already begun?
I just got up a little while ago. I had a fever again last night. Now I've just got a very annoying cough.
The guy came by to install the new internet line yesterday, but there was no one from management with him. So they won't do the inspection until next week. The new internet seems like it will be way better than what I've got now. 1Gbps up and down, vs my current 180Mbps down 42Mbps up, and slightly cheaper than what I've got now, so I'll switch over and try it once I get back next month.
What have you got planned for tomorrow?

Making progress with the graveyard, and vinyard, and veggies, and church... I'm a graveyard keeper of many hats. I think I'm slowly approaching the end game there as well.

The revolution is well underway and soon it will be won.

I hope the fever will go again. You should stay in bed and make sure you're proprly cured. Wow, that sounds like a great internet connection you'll be having then!

I'm not sure yet, maybe stay at home mostly and go to the mall. Or meet a friend.

>>14368 Why does a graveyard have veggies and a vineyard? Have you beaten Graveyard Keeper before?
Though we die, la Resistance live on!
I tried sleeping more, but I couldn't with the cough. I'll try going back to bed after trekville territory defense.
Seems promising! but if it doesn't work with hosting, that would be a problem.
Buy some plants with a friend!

No, first time I played it. Well, it's a management game, and you have to grow all kinds of foodstuff to sell or for quests.

Try some honey, that's usually helpful when having a cough. Good luck with trekville!

I'm collecting some more allies in Suikoden.

Unfortunately, they usually tell the max. numbers it can theoretically have and usually doesn't get. But even if it doesn't, it'll certainly be an upgrade over your current one.

He doesn't have any plants himself.

>>14371 Do you use the bodies as fertilizer?
I don't have any honey! The houseguests said they were going to the store and would pick up some cough medicine for me while they're there. They've been gone an awfully long while...
Do you have an option of not collecting more allies?
Yeah that's true. Even if I only got 250up/down, that would still be a massive improvement. And it's cheaper.
You'd better go to the plant store then!

(ID: 97b8a1)Country code: at, country type: geoip, valid: 1  14374

If you cremete them you can use their ashes in making fertilizer. But other than that you can and must cut the bodies up and use their skin, fat, blood, etc. for different things.

Who knows what they are up to! I wonder if you'll get any medicine.

Of course, but you get an optional 'best ending' if you collect all 108 allies, which isn't always easy.

I should check if I can upgrade mine in any way. Though it would certainly not be cheaper.

The plants would just die under his anti-green thumbs.

Oh they just got back! and they brought cough medicine and cough drops. hazzah!
That sounds incredibly time consuming. How many do you have so far?
Would you have to get special permission from the management?
Get him some plants you really dislike.
The territory defense is about to start, but the territory "season" is over, so it doesn't count for anything important. I've parked my ships, and I'm going to take a shower.

Well you dump what remains into them. And then you add some nice monuments and stones that you carved yourself to make it all nicer.

Oh nice, sounds like they did the job... for once!

I think I have 97 or so now. Gathring them all is what's fun about it.

No, it's none of their business.

I hope you have some luck trekvilling! I'll be off myself, Suikoden and then bed. Take care!

Yesterday I found myself in Oxford PA with some time on my hands so I decided to search for the nearest Barnes and Noble in the vain hope of finding Overlord volume 6 or Berserk Deluxe Edition volume 3. Now if you've never heard of Oxford PA you're not alone! It is so far out in the boondocks that the nearest B&N was two states away! It was a markedly shorter trip to drive through Maryland to Delaware than to turn around and go deeper into PA.
So anyway I wound up in Christiana DE which has a big mall, an REI Co-op AND a 5.11 store.

ayyyy, dumpster battery backup is alive! It uses 2X 12V 7.2Ah batteries. going to put it on the modem and router, which is overkill, but will make sure they stay up as long as possible in the event of a power outage.

>>14507 That's a lot of corpse rendering!
I've ended up with 8 units, but I don't use them all. I use a massive 4-battery unit for the server and other internal network systems. I have a small 2-battery system for my work/test area, but the batteries in it went bad. I have a large one-battery unit for my PC. and I had a small 1-battery unit for the modem and router that also had its battery die, so it got routed to my PC battery which was already overloaded. so I got replacement batteries for the work/test area, and I'm replacing the 1-battery unit for the modem/router with the large 2-battery unit the houseguests found while dumpster diving. So the most critical components are all covered by 2+ batteries with 14.5Ah+ (I think 28Ah in the case of the server). Now that I think about it, I should maybe swap my overloaded PC backup battery with the 2 smaller battery backup.

must be nice living in a place without unstable power... even a little half-second power drop is enough to shut off a PC, and those happen with some frequency. I just moved the router and modem to the new battery. With just the initial charge off the batteries, it says it should be able to run them for over an hour and a half if the power fails.

You should roll a d20 every 3 minutes to determine how many extra zombie monster pirates join the fight.
They should rush back in while the enemy is distracted from looting. It's a winning strategy!
I was up late working on recovering data for my mom. It's still in progress. It's taking an eternity due to being hundreds of thousands of really tiny files.

Where's the necromancer?
It's my step-dad's PC from before he had his stroke, that I brought back with me a couple of trips ago. the one that's more powerful than the web server but not as good as my PC. I realized it still had tons of stuff on it that might not have been pulled off previously. So I'm getting it together so my mom can have it and look over it in case there's anything she wants/needs. Then I can start repurposing the computer for other things.
That's the plan! or, today, in about 12 hours ideally.

They are mostly free zombies, so they don't have an actual necromancer around. The con is, they must hide from the sun.

Good morning, did you make it safely to your mother?

The RPG went well, we had a very jolly time actually. The heroes made it out of the town, built a big raft to cross a river, stopped a witch burning, and informed the local capital about the lost battle.

Ready... but not in spirit!

That sounds like fun. Did they get to ride any rapids? Why did they save a witch though? Seems very un-hero-like.
Ready in coffee?

Oh, what happened?

There were no rapids, but some aquatic demons tried in vain to break the raft from below. The witch wasn't a witch at all, she and her husband were wrongly accused.

I should get coffee!

>>14627 The probably-racist apartment manager blew me off for hours and failed to send me the lease renewal. After waiting for their internal meetings and lunch break, the third time I visited the office today, they finally sent it to me (even though they had already assured me it would be sent, twice). I had to read over the entire ridiculously long lease with a fine-tooth comb again, and when I did, I found there were some problems with what they sent me. And then the office closed, so the problems haven't been fixed. And if I don't have the lease finalized before I leave, then they can just decide to not renew it and evict me while I'm not here. The rescheduled inspection is tomorrow, which probably means more delays in getting the lease since she's going to be busy with that all day. I'll probably have to argue with her about what the term "fire hazard" actually means. And I'll be lucky if I'm out of here tomorrow.
How do they know she wasn't a witch!?
Get some for me, too!

Wow, to be honest, that kinda sounds like they try to get you out. Maybe they hope to rent out the place for a higher lease.

But yeah, you need to sort this out.

Well, the heroes made a proper investigation and found that the accusations were wrong and mostly a cause of bad luck.

Alright!

>>14629 I don't know. I'm not too happy about it. But I don't have time to move since I had to give them SIXTY days notice, and now I have to leave again. I chewed out the houseguests last night, and today I just told them they need to find a new place to stay for completely unrelated reasons due to the ridiculous new lease. They were surprisingly understanding about it, but they also have nowhere to go right now. If they could keep it on the downlow they'd be ok, but that's nearly impossible for them. For the inspection tomorrow, I threw out the fish tank. The washer is hiding at the back of my closet.
What was the bad luck?
I got tea instead.

That's really a tought situation. That stupid inspection also makes me think they just want to find a reason to get you out of there. Also for such a stupid reason. Are they at least doing that fire inspection with all tennants?

I hope they'll be alright.

An actualy witch's curse who they came across a long time ago.

Grandma's daughter just moved out from her house away from her baby daddy and moved in with the baby daddy's parents! so moving in with the daughter isn't an option. And great-grandma just moved out of wherever she was, already with some roommate, so that's also not an option. Maybe grandma's girlfriend's family will assist them.
What happened when they told the people in the city about the attack?
What a glorious day for e-mails!

Hey Clarity. I saw your RP thread recently, (the I had shown interest in and then went mute. Sorry about that by the way, I had a lot of family issues at the time and completely forgot your game existed, anyway,) and I noticed some strange posts. For example some guy named Zoo something or other.

If someone is trying to ruin your game with shit posts, I just want to remind you that you can report them. They will receive a warning and then possibly get the boot from the /rp/ board for a bit.

A pet peeve of mine is when people try to ruin other peoples role-playing fun.

Looks like the campaign is going along smoothly by the way. Nice
