Work started out busy, then it started being so inactive that I went to the mall for lunch. When I got back still nothing was going on. When I wanted to turn the laptop off, suddenly it got busy again.

They really were. I've taken tomorrow off so I can be even lazier and work on those RPG end reports.

I had salami pizza at one of the three Italian restaurants; it was very good.

How is your day?

Salami pizza? Hmm, interesting idea. I like salami, and I like pizza, but I don't think I've ever mixed the two.
My programming partner and I started a phone call when I was ready for bed, and we talked for 3 hours. So I didn't get much sleep last night. I'm pretty tired. But so far I've mounted 2/3 of another large shelving unit on the wall at my mom's. I need an angle grinder to finish the job, and I'm waiting to hear back if there's one I can borrow.

Here salami pizza is a staple, every Italian restaurant has it. I guess it's similar to your pepperoni pizza - but the meat is different.

What did you talk about?

If you can't find one, use a saw.

Most of it was him wanting to catch up after our previous programming plans fell through late last year. Once that happened, he got super depressed and I didn't hear from him for a while. There was a lot of drama behind it, and one person we were relying on massively fucked him and us over. After that, we talked about upcoming programming plans related to the rehab center where my stepdad goes. We may be writing some new information systems for them.
There's a circular saw, but it's not suitable for cutting steel.

I really don't know. But this was Neapolitan pizzeria, so I guess they used some salami brand from there.

Hm, sounds like you might become the IT guys for that rehab center after all!

Ah, you have to cut steel... well, then you need some proper power tools.

The mentally damaged alien can't figure out anything as soon as you say "Sollux and Castor." She just thinks its an identity guessing game. Lacking the critical ability to discern identity she assumes the ravages of time to produce a natural successor personality instead of a survival processing core. That and obviously a meth fueled cave painting illiterate cannibal. Or were you wondering about that since HSG? We really should brain her with yon anvilicious trope.

the Department of Temporal Investigations, it's a nonsensical Starfleet entity that appears to be from a book series. makes no damn sense since there's all kind of time travel in Star Trek.
and in the game, you have to use the DTI faction to fight the Krenim. You get a daily Krenim armada directive from the DTI, and you get a daily chit that can be used to buy either an "Anti-Charged Krenim" exocomp, or an "Anti-Static Krenim" exocomp. Whichever one you choose, once you use it, you have ~20 minutes to get from your base to the Krenim and try to take down their "armadas" with 2 of your ships. If you fight weak ones, you get little. If you fight stronger ones, you probably die, but if you don't, going back to base to repair takes time out of your 20 minutes. Blowing up the armadas gives either charged or static scrap, which is used to buy charged or static credits, which are then used to buy things in the DTI store. pain in the ass.

>>11527 Does the villa lead to a dungeon? What's in the villa?
Basically. I was behind on all of my grinding and was running low on certain resources, so I ground all I could of the time-limited grinds, and also stocked up a bunch of the rest. Oh yeah, there was another server-v-server event day yesterday, which I once against didn't really get to take part. But to everyone's surprise, we won, and we got a week long research boost off it, so coupled with 3 additional research spend events that all fell at the same time, I rushed a ton of research today and blew through all of my 4* resources (which have to be refined or gained through events) as well as half of my latinum.
a solution for some annoying posters.

pretty much. there's still one more event I might do, a ranked grind, but I'm not feeling it at the moment. I'm currently 1st place in the material spend event for a new officer. Unfortunately the officer isn't that great.

>>11531 what does disrupting the spheres do!?
it's intended to be a FOMO event, to get whales to spend cash to out-spend each other in game. but I'm a patient mofo, so stocking up materials and spending them all at once is my standard way of doing things. If it weren't for the incursion research boost, I'd have passed on this one and waited for another better officer. But that boost saved me a lot of time and latinum.

To make it easier understandable, let's just say yes. In TDE there are six spheres which are like layers surrounding the core sphere of "order". The spheres are separated from each other by limbo. And in limbo can be tiny bubble-spheres/worlds. And the bad guys are hiding in one of those.

A fair bit, we're a few weeks into the winter season. Seasons 2 of Hyakkano, Solo Leveling and The Apothecary Diaries are currently airing. Girumasu, Beheneko, Aparida, Nihon e Youkoso Elf-san, Around 40 Otoko no Isekai Tsuuhan, NEET Kunoichi to Nazeka Dousei Hajimemashita and Sentai Red Isekai de Boukensha ni Naru are some of the new releases for season.

Of those, Nihon e Youkoso Elf-san and Around 40 Otoko no Isekai Tsuuhan are two I have been looking forward to as I had read the LN's and manga of previously.

>What's the shopper shopping for?

So he was a salaryman who retired to the countryside to live the slow life then suddenly he finds himself in a fantasy world forest. He discovers he can summon a game-esque status screen and has the abilities to store and scrap materials from that world for money and can use that money to purchase things from the online store Shangri-La which is similar to, but legally distinct from Amazon. With these abilities he intends to continue his slow life in the other world but shenanigans ensue.

Stream of consciousness or a "bump bot" that has gone astray. I cannot tell.

I felt a pain in the corner of the window, the sky bled green ice and Celestia ate the ice with a pickled axe. Words once spoken unto seven. The beautiful and mystic city lay in ruins of an old stone cup. Bespoken words and a slight red hue dotted the grass, betraying the tale of a dark battle that took place not long ago when the world was young and made of fig leaves.

Maybe if I get I high fever I can do something more interesting.

>I was there for 2 months, but now I'm back at my place for a week and a half, and then going back to help family some more, probably for 2-3 weeks.

That sounds like an intense level of support that can't be maintained forever I know I couldn't do so at the level I did after my grandfather past, albeit, my rotation was every other day and sometimes stayed longer with no breaks like that, so IDK. Forgive me if I am touching on anything personal.

>If it's a bump bot, it really likes Clarity for some reason.

It reminds me of an encounter I had a couple of years ago with a bump bot that got lost from a qanon board and started posting on the small board that I run. Copying a bit from the thread and topics/whatever strange agenda/objects of fascination that is going on with that strange group. More nonsensical but it seems like a similar style. Sorry, I didn't mean I was feeling sick. I meant that I too feel like it's putting a damper on what I can do in life.
>I know my mother and brother had something that started like a normal cold a month ago and then was two weeks of high fever and coughing.
Are they feeling better now? My mom also got sick right before I left; ended up taking her to the ER with abdominal pain, but they never figured out what was wrong. That's part of the reason I'm going back soon.

It's all good; no worries. Yeah the idea is to get lots of things done so they'll be ok on their own for a while. It's just there's been way too much since December. The last major thing I didn't finish while I was there, was replacing a bathroom sink, light fixture, and switch. I managed to finish all the rest of the minor repairs and constructions. Aside from that I have to get them to/from a bunch of appointments.

The reason I think it's probably being directly controlled by a real person, is because he/it responds somewhat, and when I delete his images for having porn in them as he sometimes does, he edits the images to try to hide the porn and reposts them. A bot wouldn't do that.

>I meant that I too feel like it's putting a damper on what I can do in life.
I was taking my health issues there but also relate.
I didn't have a normal teen to early young adult life, family was somewhat dysfunctional and stayed first helping my grandparents and then later my mother whom I stuck around for. Have now found myself kind of lost in my late twenties, albeit, of any silver lining of undiagnosed possible neurological issues is that I have had time to think and weirdly feel more mentally together than I have in years. Just need to figure out next steps .

If you ever need someone to vent too on your experiences with your family and current situation, I am someone who can relate and would be willing to lead an ear at least. I think I'll try stay around a bit better this time even if I am uncertain the board's culture being incompatible with my tendencies and personality (I write longer posts for example, and can be a bit confusing in how I come across to other people)

> The last major thing I didn't finish while I was there, was replacing a bathroom sink, light fixture, and switch. I managed to finish all the rest of the minor repairs and constructions.

I get being the one person fixing stuff and keeping a household limping along.Patchwork attempts to stop a leaky roof (climbing on a two story house) and emergency plumbing was what I was doing 6 months ago before my current issues hit.

>The reason I think it's probably being directly controlled by a real person, is because he/it responds somewhat,

I kind of did the opposite, but now I've fallen at last into that dysfunctional family rut. I'm not certain I will be able to pull myself out. It turns out you're quite a bit younger than I am. Fortunately you still have time on your side, and I hope you find success in whatever endeavors you choose. Do you have any idea what could be causing the neurological issues at this point?

I appreciate the offer. Unfortunately I'm somewhat stressed and wary about venting that sort of thing given recent developments on this site. It's nothing against you, but the hills have eyes so to speak. Maybe you have seen what I'm referring to.

In my opinion, the board's culture is somewhere between "not great" and "complete travesty". I am hoping to change that, but it won't be easy.

I thankfully haven't had to do any roofing work yet. I'm also learning a bit of plumbing here and there. I just hope all the random skills I'm picking up will serve me well if I ever get a place of my own. What sort of plumbing issues did you need to deal with?

>Oh, I agree this place is likely being targeted purposefully regardless of bot or not.

There's no likely about it.

>I just hope all the random skills I'm picking up will serve me well if I ever get a place of my own.
I think it might! Even a very bare bones level puts you at an advantage from knowing nothing and might save ya on some costly plumber visits.

>What sort of plumbing issues did you need to deal with?

Mostly it runs in the category of house that was built in the 1960s and still has vintage... everything. I wouldn't call myself successful at everything, mostly stop gaps. Minor things like clumsily repairing a pipe with pipewrap repair kit and changing out some things on the kitchen sink. I've also swapped out the guts of a toilet... thrice now? Stuff like that mostly.

>I kind of did the opposite, but now I've fallen at last into that dysfunctional family rut. I'm not certain I will be able to pull myself out.
Unfortunate, what I realized, was that while I did a good act in taking care of family members, I had never set any boundaries for myself and looking in hindsight, I probably could've have set some and done more despite my very... difficult at times father. Things are more cloudy when your in the rut and often feel confined to pattern over the true availability of your actions. (and too be fair, I haven't quite gotten out of the dysfunctional family rut either, just clear headed) I won't touch on anything more though considering the risk of speaking on such things here and just leave that at that.

>Do you have any idea what could be causing the neurological issues at this point?

NOPE, the PT place I was going too strongly suspects that it isn't something spinal, which my Doctor was hoping for. They've through around various things including an somewhat milder guillain-barre, to MS.

> Unfortunately I'm somewhat stressed and wary about venting that sort of thing given recent developments on this site.

No, but I know enough of "spooky chan" stuff, to infer. My offer will still stand should the situation calm down.

>In my opinion, the board's culture is somewhere between "not great" and "complete travesty".

I do actually have some experience in shepherding a board culturally but I don't know if I just lucked out or only drew a very specific kind of anon. I just codified what were ad hoc tendencies of a handful of anons and said in the board's sticky that I wouldn't allow it to go the way of /pol/ or shitposting fights.

Thanks. Felt kind of worse and had a rough night but I still wouldn't call it completely awful.

>Those minor things add up.

> It's a similar situation at my mom's. You should see the wiring: completely nonsensical circuits.
You get it. 80% of the house is on one circuit breaker and we can't run even one electric heater and the microwave at the same time. The house also was owned by a person who was frugal to a fault and did things in the most cheapest way possible, including against building building codes (like, I'm pretty sure the carport will fall down one day!, it is leaning). So, 40 years of bad to no maintenance and another 20 years of no to mixed maintenance really do add up to random problems now.

>Hopefully you've found some ways to mitigate it on your own, at least.
I am doing better than how I was last time I was hear. I'll say that at least.

>That seems pretty reasonable. I guess my approach has always been more of a build it and see if anyone comes sort.

I was more of taking about maintaining a community culturally rather than building one. (As in, preventing it from being a toxic cesspool). Building was very ad hoc and it is/was tiny (chans everywhere are getting attacked it seems these days and we've been locked out from posting for over a month, lol) we didn't get very far from microscopic but had our own rhythm by embracing the way it was. Like, I would even highlight this thread here, as simple as it is, is something that gives a little life to things. So my advice here is to take what you have and run with it. If that makes any sense.

>>>11660

>art show
That is one of those things that wouldn't seek out and yet absolutely captivate my attention if someone put it on or I decided to click on a video, article, or whatever. A certain appeal that I can see one why someone would get lost in that.

>>11667 That sounds like a "landlord special". Thankfully there are a lot of circuits at my mom's, but it's often one outlet in one room, a light in another, 2 outlets in a third, and then another wall in another room at the other end of the house. So when they're running space heaters in different rooms thinking it'll be ok, it tends to cause unexpected problems. The insulation on many of the wires is so brittle that it sloughs off with just the tiniest bit of force, and then when you go to wrap them to re-insulate them, more falls off. One of my side projects was swapping all of the outlets for GFCIs, and of course all but one lacked a ground despite being 3-prong outlets.

>I am doing better than how I was last time I was hear. I'll say that at least.
I'm glad to hear that.

Wow, that is a long drive. Sleep good for it. I hope whatever visit or whatever y'all have planned goes well. I also may partake in a nap, due to aforementioned illness.

>That sounds like a "landlord special".

LOL, yeah, that is one way to word it.

> One of my side projects was swapping all of the outlets for GFCIs, and of course all but one lacked a ground despite being 3-prong outlets.

Most of the outlets are still 2-pronged, but yeah, have encountered that as well.

>How did that happen?
The board, I should clarify if I did not already, exists on a chan with multiple imageboards. The chan came under heavy attack from--not to bring in politics of any sort--a Russian hacker or group of Russian hackers that were mad at the place hosting anti-Russian Goverment internal dissidents. And,though a make it a policy not to shill my little board and keep some degree of anonymity, I will warn ya that if you tired to find it, literal shitposting and sometimes NSFL martial have randomly flooded the site and I only just recently got back some of my moderation powers Needless to say, we're thinking of moving, lol.

>That makes sense.

It maybe survivorship bias, and our group maybe too tiny to be seen as a success, but I consider six years at least something of a small achievement.
